Looking for a way to tune up your team? Know the best way to make things stick when culture needs to evolve and change?
In today’s forced-virtual world, it’s more important than ever for a leader to take control of culture rather than to be controlled by culture. You need a deliberate approach to crafting a solid, actionable, and intentional culture that creates opportunity for you and your team to succeed.
In order to make that culture real, you need a plan. An Intentional Culture Plan. This framework identifies five primary components of the Plan as Mission/Vision, Values, Behaviors, Rituals, and Beliefs. Most organizations have two or maybe three of these identified, but not all of them. In addition to our five components, there are five primary applications where culture can be reinforced and infused: Hiring, Communicating, Training, Coaching, and Measuring. These applications are the embodiment of the culture, and the place where the organization either embraces culture or sets the stage for a disengaged workforce
This approach even allows smaller teams within an organization to define their own culture in a way that will support the enterprise. The framework scales as needed. We’ll share case studies of intentional culture planning with a team within a federal agency as well as private sector organizations. Expect to leave this session with a better understanding of culture; how training and L&D can influence the direction culture grows; and a scalable framework for intentional culture, suitable for any size from your team to your organization.
