The year 2020 forced organizations to quickly pivot from face-to-face to virtual delivery. Some were prepared, most were not. Without having systems and procedures in place to effectively scale up, many found themselves scrambling to adapt. The year 2021 found organizations who did adapt to virtual delivery now struggle with lackluster learning due to inadequate design practices, non-skilled instructors, and limited tool capability. Although they continue to make it work, engagement has plateaued, and learners are expecting more from their virtual experiences. So, what does this mean for virtual classroom delivery in 2023?
In this session we illuminate ways to enhance practices to build more resilient virtual instructor-led programs. This includes upskilling employees, designing for alternative solutions, and deploying procedural strategies for healthier engagement opportunities. We explore best practices and “behind the screens” instruction on creating what could be deemed the new “blended learning.” Examine techniques that supplement standard engagement activities typically used as part of virtual classrooms and discover alternative solutions for collaborative experiences.
