Alan Myers, a Senior Instructional Designer at FDA and a Professional Certified Coach, combined his love of learning with his love of coaching to spearhead an effort to foster a culture of coaching across the Government. Alan pursued his vision of providing no cost coach training to create a cadre of effective and competent coaches across the Federal landscape.
The Federal Internal Coach Training Program (FICTP) is the product of Alan’s vision. Under his leadership, the FICTP received approval as a recognized training program with the International Coach Federation (ICF) and over 800 Federal employees have graduated from the program, beginning their road to credentialing with ICF.
Join us on February 2, 2021 from 1:00-2:00 pm (EST) as we begin our roundtable series with featured presenter, Alan Myers, who will share his experience with creating a Federal coaching community.
GREAT NEWS! You can also receive continuing education credits from SHRM/HCRI and HRPA for attending the February 2nd and February 16th sessions! Look for the code posted on the session information in PheedLoop.
Alan Lee Myers has over 33 years as an internal consultant, trainer, coach, and manager. While at the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Alan designed, developed and conducted two (2) cohorts of the HHS Internal Coach Boot Camp, which later became the OPM Federal Coaching Network’s Federal Internal Coaching Boot Camp (now the Federal Internal Coach Training Program (FICTP)). Under Alan’s leadership, the FICTP received approval as a recognized training program with the International Coach Federation (ICF) and over 800 Federal employees have graduated from the program, beginning their road to credentialing with ICF.
The FICTP was recognized as the “best leadership development program” in 2014 by the HCMG and, in 2019, Alan received the Distinguished Service Award for Leadership Development by the Training Officers Consortium. Alan also initiated the training of Mentor Coaches and established coaching supervisors as part of the FICTP support structure. His next goal is to establish a cadre of Mentor Coaches and Coaching Supervisors across the Federal space who will support internal Federal coaches.
