TOC wrapped up its first ever webinar on Tuesday, October 25, and by all measurements it was a success. Our topic was “Net Promoter Score: What Is It & Its Importance to Training Evaluations.” Denise Madaras and Eugene di Ribeaux from PTG International talked about Net Promoter Score (NPS) and how it can be used to enhance your training evaluations. For instance, did you know that NPS can be considered a Kirkpatrick® Level 4 ROI metric?
We had a total of 62 people register for the event, with 42 attending. That is a 68% conversion from registrations to attendees. Compare that to the expected 40-60% conversion rate that is the rule of thumb for webinars. The engagement metrics we saw indicated that people were slow to log on (which is not unusual for webinars) but nearly all of them stayed until the end.
Some more numbers:
- 32 of the registrants were Federal employees from 23 different agencies.
- We opened the webinar up to anyone who wanted to attend and were happy to see that 24 of the attendees were not currently TOC Registrants.
- 79% of attendees agreed that they would be able to apply something they learned at the webinar.
- 96% said they would be interested in attending another TOC online event in the future.
TOC’s Margo Palmer from the National Institute of Transition Planning (NITP) produced our event in NITP’s On24 platform. If you’d like to see the presentation or the webinar platform in action, an on-demand version of the webinar is available. You will need to register (for free) to view it, but once registered you can watch it as many times as you’d like, or share the link with colleagues.
The TOC Program Committee is planning another webinar in the Spring. We also need your feedback on webinars as a means for delivering programs in the future. Feel free to send us feedback at info@trainingofficers.org or talk with any Board Member during our monthly Professional Development Programs.
